# Overview

> Digital human models that bring your AI agents to life

## What are Avatars?

Avatars are AI-generated digital humans that transform agents into lifelike video experiences.
They deliver natural facial expressions, synchronized lip movements, and authentic human gestures that create genuine connections with users.

These digital representations are created using proprietary AI models trained on real-life footage, allowing them to authentically replicate a person's voice, appearance, and natural movement patterns.

You can use avatars in two ways:

* **With our platform**: Avatars power all agents that run on our infrastructure
* **With your voice agents**: Avatars give any existing voice agent a lifelike visual presence

## Default Avatars

We provide a curated selection of high-quality [default avatars](/get-started/avatars/default) featuring professional models filmed in studio settings.
These avatars offer excellent quality and are immediately available for your projects.

## Custom Avatars

For personalized solutions, you can create [custom avatars](/get-started/avatars/custom) that only you can use. Custom avatars allow you to represent your brand, team members, or create unique digital personas tailored to your specific needs.
