# Text-to-Video

> Generate a video of a Beyond Presence avatar speaking your script.

Text-to-Video turns a written script into a downloadable video of an [avatar](/concepts/avatars) speaking it.
Unlike a [conversation](/learn/glossary#conversation) with an agent, the video is generated once and has no real-time interaction, which makes it suited to recorded content such as announcements, tutorials, and product explainers.

## Create a video

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Text-to-Video">
    In the [Studio](https://bey.studio), go to **Text to Video** in the sidebar and click **Create Text-to-Video**, or click **Create Video** on the home page.

  <Step title="Select an avatar">
    Choose a [Stock Avatar](/concepts/avatars/stock) or one of your [Custom Avatars](/concepts/avatars/custom). The avatar speaks with its own voice.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write the video settings">
    * **Video Name**: A name to find the video later.
    * **Your message**: The script the avatar speaks. Add three dots `...` at the end of a sentence to insert a pause.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the video">
    Check the cost estimate and click **Generate Video**.
    The video appears in your video list while it is processing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Preview and download">
    Once the video is ready, preview it or download it as an MP4 file from the video card menu.

## Credits

Generating a video uses credits from your plan. The cost scales with the length of your message, and the Studio shows a cost estimate before you generate.
If the estimate exceeds your available credits, the Studio disables **Generate Video**.

## Watermark

Generated videos include a visible watermark that marks them as AI-generated, as required by the [EU AI Act](/production/eu-ai-act#watermarking).
