Data Privacy & Security

All persisted customer data is stored securely in Europe. Encryption is applied both in transit and at rest. For details on our infrastructure, data handling, and security practices, see the Trust Center FAQ.

Zero Data Retention

Zero Data Retention can be activated for enterprise customers upon request. Once enabled, it applies to all conversations of an account. With Zero Data Retention enabled, we do not persist any customer content, including:
  • Conversation transcripts
  • User audio
  • Text-to-speech text
  • LLM prompts and responses
  • Session recordings
Processing occurs in volatile memory only. We maintain only the metadata necessary for billing, service delivery, and security.

Region Pinning

By default, requests are routed to the nearest available worker in our global multi-region deployment, which means processing usually stays local but is not guaranteed to. Region pinning restricts processing to a single region, so that all conversations of an account are handled there even when other regions would be closer or less busy. Region pinning can be enabled for enterprise customers upon request. See Deployment for the full set of deployment options.

Data Processing Agreements

Beyond Presence can also issue Data Processing Agreements for enterprise customers upon demand. A DPA sets out the terms that ensure GDPR-compliant processing of personal data on your behalf.
