Send your agent into an ongoing video meeting as a participant. The agent joins as a bot and shows its avatar video as its camera feed. Meeting participants talk to the agent by voice, just like in a regular conversation.
Sending agents to external meetings is in beta and available from the Studio on paid plans. On the free plan, the Studio prompts you to upgrade.

Send an agent to a meeting

1

Start or join the meeting

The meeting must already be running. Copy its meeting URL.
2

Open the agent in the Studio

In the Studio, open the agent you want to send and click Send To External Meeting.
3

Configure the bot

  • Meeting URL: Paste the Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex URL.
  • Bot Name (optional): The display name of the agent in the meeting. Defaults to the agent name.
  • Group Call: Turn on to make the agent respond only when called by its activation keywords. See Group calls.
4

Send the agent

Click Send Agent. The agent joins the meeting as a participant.
The agent only listens to audio. It does not read or reply to messages in the meeting chat.

Group calls

In meetings with several participants, an agent that responds to everything can interrupt the conversation. Enable Group Call so the agent stays passive until someone says one of its activation keywords. Group Call uses the agent’s Wakeup Mode capability, shown as Keyword Activation in the Studio:
  • If the agent already has activation keywords, Group Call is on by default and the Keywords field is pre-filled with them.
  • Enter keywords as a comma-separated list, for example jarvis, hey agent. If you leave the field empty, the Studio uses the agent name as the keyword.
  • When you click Send Agent, the Studio saves the keywords to the agent’s Wakeup Mode capability.
  • If you turn Group Call off, the Studio removes Wakeup Mode from the agent, so the agent responds to everything it hears.
The Group Call setting changes the agent configuration itself. It also affects other conversations with the same agent, such as shared links and embeds.
